My question is in regards to the act of setting, or videochating online on these various apps and websites that are random chat set ups. Now, I’m a 26 year old man, and I do enjoy anonymous chatting with strangers online. But, my worry here is an accidental exposure to someone who isn’t of age. I always, always, ask what there age is. 21 or older is what I shoot for. But, I’m wondering what’s my liability if this person tells me they are 21 and it turns out that they aren’t, does this fall on me? Now, this hasn’t happened yet, as I usually chat with older men and women. But I’m constantly worrying that I’m going to get in trouble because some dumb kid lies about their age and sends me an inappropriate message.
