I am 17yrs. old . my parents live in Guyana and signed custody to her cousin here in the United States. I just recently graduated high school and intend on attending college here in the states. My guardian refuses to complete/ sign any other paperwork for my financial aid for school. She lied to me and told me to visit my mother in guyana for @ weeks and i would be back in time for school knowing all the while that my airline ticket was oneway and she told me that she would not complete any of my paperwork and does not want me to attend college. I will be in 18 in a few months, can I be emancipated so I can complete my own paperwork.
