I’m researching crime rates, rehabilitation, retribution, and such, and came across a few questions I wanted to ask a professional. I don’t know if this is where to ask them, but I thought I should ask, anyway.

So, my question is: can retribution be defined as the process of ensuring and enacting a just punishment? If so, does retribution apply to all of the areas of the Criminal Justice System?

What I want to know is simply this, does retribution apply to all of the Criminal Justice System?
