Teens sentenced for sexting
On May 11, 2009, two Ohio teenagers caught sexting at school were sentenced in juvenile court.
The 15 and 16-year-olds could have faced felony child pornography charges. Instead they each admitted to a misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor offense.

The boy was sentenced to 30-days of house arrest while the girl [who sent the picture of herself] was ordered to write a paper about the dangers of sexting. Both were ordered to give their cell phones to their probation officer for a month, and to complete 100 community service hours. Upon full completion of their sentences, their record will be expunged and have no impact on their adult lives.
A sexting law is being considered by the Ohio legislature. Find out more about sexting laws in the U.S.
