Dear Addy: Although it’s possible for your brother to be charged with trespassing, it’s very unlikely that the prosecutor’s office would file charges for something like this. Perhaps your brother and parents could try approaching the neighbors and apologize for your brother’s mistake. A sincere apology and promise that it won’t happen again in the future may be all they want and put an end to the matter. Good luck to your family.
