considering the 14th amendment states and individual can not be stripped of life liberty or fortune without the due processors or equal protection of law which does include that a law can not be arbitrary meaning based on personal whim or without reasonable system and structure . As founded in the control substance act which is what the fda created it guidelines by mainly pertaining to article 21 which created a scientific review for the proper scheduling of cannabis as at the time cannabis held a schedule one as a place holder till finding however the findings of the Shaffer commission with the authorization of the president of the united states at the request of the congressional committee that scheduled cannabis in the first place and being the largest federal study in us history on it stated that there is no social impact ,medical reason, or scientific fact that supports the prohibition of cannabis (this being further shown by the fbi and cdc having high lethal numbers of tobacco and alcohol but zero for cannabis ) and to do so could be unconstitutional…my question is simple considering it been known and shown since at-least 1975 (ravin v state of Alaska 1975) why does the states and federal government continue to violate the 14th amendment and make people slaves for doing things safer then tobacco or alcohol and why should the people trust such a government ?
