I have a friend that does not have custody of her two sons. She currently lives in another state and can only talk to them from 8pm to 8:30am each night.

Her exhusband is a narcissist and very controlling. Last night she heard yelling goings-on in the background as she was talking to her first grader. It turned out the father was yelling and ridiculing the older second grade child for missing spelling words. When the mother was speaking to the child tonight he mentioned more. He said his father was slapping him across his face and his head felt like a basketball. She recorded the conversation and it is heart wrenching. Both parents are highly educated. The father is a RN and the mother a pharmacist.

What would be your advice? I don’t want to the father to act revenge on the children for telling his mom. She is in another state and cannot quickly get there. She would of course gladly get them if needed. But I add this is not some custody ploy or trick. This is about trying to save these two young boys lives. The mother is a very good person. I could supply more information if needed. Would you like her email address?

Thanks,

Bob
