So I was walking back from school early in the morning to get a drink from the gas station, then police stopped me because I was supposed to be in school and they were asking me for my ID, home address, parent’s name, etc. They asked me if I had drugs and I said no and offered to let them see my bag, then they asked me if I dropped something (sometimes people drop their weed when stopped by LE) and I said no, and I didn’t, then the officer said if I told him that I dropped something, he would let it go(Likely referring to drugs). My question if that say, I dropped a joint or a bag of weed and I told him about it, would he go through with his leniency or can police lie about promising leniency and arrest you anyway?
