The People Have Spoken

PreviousNext
Biden Harris

We at AsktheJudge.info have decided to break with tradition and our apolitical policy since 2007 by greeting a new day for America. Today, November 7, 2020, the presidential election has resulted in former Vice-President Joe Biden becoming the country’s president-elect. He will be sworn in as America’s 46th President on January 20, 2021. His running mate, Kamala Harris, becomes the nation’s first female and first African and Indian-American vice-president.

President Biden will have a full plate with a divided country on so many levels. Amidst a pandemic, economic slow down, climate change, unemployment, racial justice, immigration and over 500 orphaned children, his first hundred days in office will be a tsunami of activity. Much will be written about the outgoing administration, but let it be said that decency, competence, compassion and experience will now prevail. The rule of law, as recognized by our Founders in 1787, has taken a beating since 2017, but remains a mainstay in our democracy.

As the mayor of Paris, France, Anne Hidalgo tweeted “Welcome back, America.”
